## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, systems, robotics or other related engineering field
 * 5 or more years of experience in product development, systems, reliability, test or similar function
 * Experience including systems engineering fundamentals, requirements management and proven ability to lead a primary function within a project team
 * Background in test development, verification, data collection and analytics. Experience with HALT and other reliability test methods a plus
 * Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sound statistical application in areas such as Design of Experiments, sampling techniques, regression, reliability, FMEA, hypothesis testing, etc.
 * Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, and related software is a plus (e.g. Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull++)
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels with creative problem-solving capabilities.
 * Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
 * Knowledge / Experience with the phases of residential and commercial construction as well as equipment usage is a plus
 * Ability to travel 5-10% of the time is required (travel includes Domestic and International)

## Description

* Act as subject matter expert with respect to product testing, reliability, requirements management and warranty analysis for new product designs and engineering changes
 * Collaborate with design engineers and marketing to define the product specifications with respect to product life, durability, quality, and user needs
 * Participate in, and conduct, design reviews to showcase project status, risks, and system readiness for testing and verification activities
 * Develop and execute reliability, design, and validation assessments to support successful product introductions based on data driven evidence
 * Responsible for ensuring completion of product qualification test plans, including functional, reliability, and durability testing
 * Develop test procedures and prove out test methods based on new or established product designs to ensure power tools meet customer requirements
 * Analyze and present product usage and risk assessments utilizing statistical techniques such as Weibull analysis, reliability distributions and stress-strength analysis
 * Ensure timely failure reporting and perform root cause analysis for issues observed in life testing and/or field use
 * Occasionally join end user research events to identify "critical to quality" (CtQ) requirements on mechanical and electrical design features
 * Interact with global engineers, suppliers and manufacturing that participate in product commercialization
 * Track and support multiple projects simultaneously to ensure adherence to schedule and the Milwaukee Tool process
