## About the Role

* Active TS/SCI with Poly
 * 10+ years of experience, with additional education able to count in lieu of a degree. Additional flexibility pending Customer approval.
 * Bachelor's degree, with additional relevant SA experience able to count in lieu of a degree
 * Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS.
 * Experience with software installation and configuration.
 * Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs.

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:

 * Security + Certification (SEC+)
 * Experience with AWS and cloud environments
 * Scripting experience (Python) is a plus

## Description

Parsons is looking for a talented and fully cleared Systems Administrator to join our growing team!

This role is supporting a highly sought-after mission in the development and engineering community, supporting a team of cybersecurity engineers and analysts as a one-stop-shop for Linux systems administration.

What You'll Be Doing:

 * Support and maintain Linux systems. Experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful.
 * Create, support, and manage virtual machines.
 * Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant. Work in close coordination with ISSO.
 * Manage installation and configuration of software environments.
 * Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
 * Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
 * Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
 * Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
 * Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels
