Experteer Overview In this role you will own the design and validation of a server sub-system within Cisco's Common Hardware Group. You will ensure the design meets functional specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products on time. You'll create functional specs and technical documentation, and manage JDMs for server development. This is a hands-on engineering role that shapes hardware platforms used across Cisco's core networking products. Compensation / Benefits * Own design and validation of a server sub-system * Ensure design meets functional specs * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products on time * Participate in creating functional specifications and technical documentation * Work with and manage JDMs for server product development Tasks * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 5+ years of experience, or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 3 years, or
PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 0 years * Experience in hardware designs and validation * Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams * Experience in networking (preferred) * Hardware validation using lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers) (preferred) * Proven experience creating test scripts in Python * Hands-on board design knowledge with Cadence Concept and Allegro * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Key requirements * medical, dental and vision insurance * 401(k) with Cisco matching * paid parental leave * paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick leave) * restricted stock units (RSUs) * bonus programs
