## About the Role

* 3+ years of experience in enterprise data centers or structured cabling.
 * Experience with copper and fiber cabling.
 * Experience with patch panels and cable management.
 * Experience with rack and stack activities.
 * Experience with server and network hardware installation.
 * Ability to read rack elevations and network diagrams.
 * Experience using cable certification or testing tools is preferred.
 * Strong documentation and organizational skills.
 * Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in data center environments.
 * Valid driver's license and ability to travel., * Experience supporting enterprise data centers with 100+ racks.
 * Knowledge of Cisco networking.
 * Knowledge of Juniper or Mist.
 * Knowledge of Fortinet.
 * Knowledge of VMware.
 * Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
 * Familiarity with IT asset management systems.
 * BICSI, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

## Description

* Organize, label, route, and secure copper and fiber cabling in enterprise data centers and IDF/MDF closets.
 * Perform complete cable remediation projects, including removing abandoned cabling and improving airflow.
 * Install cable management systems including ladder racks, vertical/horizontal managers, Velcro, patch panels, and rack accessories.
 * Patch and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic connections.
 * Install and rack servers, switches, firewalls, UPS equipment, and other infrastructure hardware.
 * Assist with equipment moves, adds, and changes (MAC work).
 * Document rack layouts, cable paths, port assignments, and asset inventory.
 * Maintain accurate labeling following company standards.
 * Assist with network and server deployments during maintenance windows.
 * Support data center cleanliness and organization initiatives.
 * Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and contractors during projects.
