The role utilizes Colorado Academic Standards to establish instructional goals and provides assessments to monitor student progress in a safe and supportive learning environment. JOB FUNCTIONS * Provide training to students and staff on assistive technology and Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) best practices * Deliver assistive technology instruction and conduct technology evaluations for assigned students * Develop lesson plans, adapt instructional materials, and deliver instruction aligned with IEPs and school initiatives * Maintain a positive learning environment using appropriate behavior support strategies * Apply accommodations and instructional strategies for learners with visual impairments, including task analysis, progress monitoring, and daily living skills * Utilize technology to model, teach, and support student learning * Demonstrate knowledge of project-based and technology-based instructional practices * Organize instructional environments to support collaborative learning * Participate in co-teaching teams and multidisciplinary educational teams * Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized student objectives * Serve as a student advocate for assigned learners * Collaborate with service providers and staff to support instruction and school initiatives * Evaluate instructional software and digital tools for accessibility compliance * Provide accessibility guidance aligned with best practices and standards * Participate in team, departmental, and school-wide meetings * Provide parent consultation and participate in family engagement activities * Engage in professional development and training opportunities * Perform other duties as assigned., * Full-time, scheduled according to the academic calendar (currently 195 days, August through June) * Salary determined in accordance with the Teacher Salary Schedule based on education and experience * Employment is at-will, Applications are part of the selection process and will be reviewed by a qualified Human Resources Specialist to determine if applicants meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
