## About the Role

* Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
 * 8 years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities in either a functional and/or technical role
 * Must currently hold an active Secret clearance
 * Ability to lead a medium to large groups
 * Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally
 * Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

 * Prior functional management experience (i.e. general supervision, performance management, staffing)
 * Embedded software design and implementation
 * Experience with electronic warfare
 * Deep knowledge in C
 * Working knowledge of Atlassian Suite
 * Cost Account Management/Earned Value Management in a DoD environment

## Description

* Provide supervision, mentoring, career development, and performance management for a team of 7-15 software engineers.
 * Conduct one-on-one and section level meetings.
 * Provide a safe, inclusive culture.
 * Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members to meet business needs.
 * Use your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
 * Support program execution through cost and schedule management, and metrics tracking.
 * Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.
 * Collaborate with other functional managers and discipline leads to ensure program success.
 * Current BAE Systems employees are ineligible for sign-on bonuses.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role/program, the expectation is that this job will be performed fully on site in Nashua, NH.
