## About the Role

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

 * 8 Years of experience in Systems Administration roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
 * A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience, and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience., * TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph
 * Proven experience implementing and managing security infrastructure
 * Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies
 * Experience with security monitoring and incident response
 * Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices
 * Knowledge of routing protocols including MPLS, HAIPE/IP, QoS, and WAN
 * Understanding of encryption technologies and data protection methods
 * Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, SCP)
 * Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work, * Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
 * Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
 * Scripting/programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
 * Experience with security automation and orchestration (SOAR)
 * Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms
 * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands
 * Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management)
 * Data center management experience
