This position will provide faculty and staff guidance on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) data management and sharing policy, data quality assurance/improvement, and ClinicalTrials.gov requirements. The fields of healthcare and life sciences are experiencing a fundamental shift toward transdisciplinary, integrative, and data-intensive approaches to research. These developments, coupled with the use of information technology platforms, are helping transform healthcare, achieving greater value alongside improved outcomes and safety. The complex data, information and knowledge needs associated with these changes require a comprehensive approach to necessary data sharing, data management and storage, data quality assurance and transparency of research findings. The Research Data and Informatics Manager direct duties and responsibilities will be: * Provides leadership and coordination in the development of the HSC Research Data and Informatics Unit and its processes and procedures.
