OR * Bachelor's degree in any discipline and at least 8 years of relevant IT infrastructure or database administration experience. OR * An equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Mandatory Skills & Experience * Extensive hands-on experience administering IBM DB2 Version 12 (or higher) on IBM z/OS. * Strong experience with: * + DB2 installation and configuration + Database migration + Performance tuning + Backup and recovery + Database monitoring * Experience executing DB2 utilities including: * + RUNSTATS + REORG + COPY + RECOVER + LOAD + UNLOAD * Experience supporting mission-critical production environments. * Experience with software release management and production migrations. * Strong troubleshooting skills for DB2 online and batch processing issues. * Experience working with application development teams during SDLC. * Experience administering IBM InfoSphere Data Replication. * Experience participating in Disaster Recovery planning and execution. * Ability to monitor database health and proactively resolve performance issues. * Experience managing IBM support cases through resolution. * Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting large government or public-sector enterprise applications. * Experience supporting Financial Management, Payroll, or Pension systems. * Knowledge of IBM z/OS architecture and mainframe environments. * Experience with enterprise monitoring and database automation tools. * Familiarity with change management and ITIL processes. ## Description We are seeking an experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise supporting IBM DB2 Version 12 (or higher) in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment.
