The engineer's primary responsibility is planning, assigning, grooming, striping, weeding, balancing, and redistributing electrical power within active data center environments. Candidates must possess deep expertise in data hall power distribution, electrical capacity, rack-level power, redundancy, and load management. The role also supports cabinets, cages, racks, containment, equipment moves, connectivity, and light fiber requirements. A working knowledge of cooling and airflow is expected, but electrical power must be the candidate's strongest technical area., * Direct experience with data center, colocation, mission-critical, or white space infrastructure. * Strong expertise in electrical power distribution within active data halls. * Experience grooming, striping, weeding, assigning, and balancing power. * Knowledge of rack power, circuits, breakers, electrical capacity, redundancy, and load management. * Familiarity with PDUs, RPPs, busway, branch circuits, and A-side/B-side power configurations. * Experience supporting customer tenant fit-outs or deployment projects. * Ability to read electrical one-lines, floor plans, rack elevations, and construction documents. * Strong project coordination, documentation, and customer communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and aggressive deadlines. * Ability to travel approximately one week per month. * Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a passport., * Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. * Knowledge of cooling, airflow, equipment heat loads, and hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment. * Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber pathways, and cross-connects. * Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, or similar design software. * Experience coordinating deployments across multiple data center locations. * Knowledge of commissioning, quality assurance, and deployment turnover. * EIT, PE, DCDC, ATD, RCDD, CDCP, or related credentials. ## Description The Data Center Customer Deployment Engineer supports customer installations and tenant fit-outs across an assigned regional portfolio of colocation data centers.
