As a Sr Field Operations Data Center Technicians, we are looking for strong experience in reading port maps and a solid understanding of fiber optic infrastructure, including cleaning, scoping, patching, and troubleshooting fiber connections. Candidates must be able to diagnose and resolve link failures, mispatches, and fiber-related issues. The role includes delivering sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement and adhering to production, safety, and quality standards., * Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience. * Experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure systems. * Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables and work effectively in a fast-paced data center environment. * Familiarity with industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code. * Industry and manufacturer-specific certifications preferred (e.g., BICSI TECH, Corning TS-LAN500). * Strong customer/client service orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Valid driver's license and ability to safely drive company vehicles., * Ability to frequently exert force equivalent to lifting up to approximately 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. * Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and more than 20 inches, and ability to adjust focus. * Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships. * Ability to identify colors and give and receive information through speaking and listening skills. * Regular requirements to sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. * Frequent need to stand and walk; occasional need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend ## Description * Install, service, and maintain low voltage category cabling and communications cabling. * Pull cables, rack and stack equipment, and assist with cable management tasks within the infrastructure. * Clean, scope, patch, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling. * Follow Method of Procedure (MOP) and Change Method of Procedure (CMOP) guidelines. * Operate work ticket systems and interfaces for infrastructure management. * Read and validate port maps, and perform basic troubleshooting and network documentation. * Strong understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking concepts. * Conduct power distribution and cable management tasks within the infrastructure. * Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient project and work order completion. * Follow company procedures and safety regulations, providing necessary information to operations management. * Complete necessary documentation in written and electronic formats according to company standards. * Maintain equipment and supplies inventory as required. * Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate client concerns and meet service level agreements (SLAs). * Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members as needed. * Conduct Service Swaps of live networking devices.
