## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree
 * 3+ years' experience as a Systems Test Engineer in Hardware, Firmware & Software design and testing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
 * Excellent engineering documentation skills, verbal communication and presentation skills
 * Strong background in Hardware, Firmware and Software design and testing environments
 * IP Network test experience
 * Large system or networked system test
 * Fire alarm system products and markets
 * Regulatory agency experience with UL, ULC, FM, CE and CPD
 * Skilled use of standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, powers supplies and other measurement instruments
 * Proven ability to support multiple projects in fast-paced deadline-driven environment
 * Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project)
 * Product validation or related fields

## Description

As Systems Test Engineer you will be responsible for review, coordination and execution of all Design Integration and Validation Test activities., * Represent Design Test Validation team throughout new product development process

 * Define and develop Integration and Validation test scope, strategies and plans based on product functional requirements including software, hardware, communication, networking and regulatory agency requirements.
 * Manage Design Integration and Validation test projects including test schedules, human and test equipment resources, design and build testing infrastructure, modify existing infrastructure and manage risks
 * Specify, design and develop test automation tools using high level programing languages and hardware
 * Review, approve and document test results to determine test acceptance
 * Develop project budgets and capital cost requirements
 * Drive effective corrective and preventive actions in response to validation, field and customer failures
 * Provide mentoring and guidance to test technicians
