## Description

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist to support advanced research focused on AI/ML security, robustness, and real-world applications.

This role will lead research into vulnerabilities affecting AI and machine learning systems, develop defensive approaches, and help transition research into practical prototypes and solutions.

Responsibilities

 * Conduct and lead novel research in applied machine learning and artificial intelligence.
 * Research vulnerabilities, threat models, and attack techniques affecting AI and ML algorithms.
 * Develop and evaluate defenses and mitigations designed to improve the security and robustness of AI systems.
 * Apply adversarial machine learning techniques to identify weaknesses and better understand the behavior of AI systems.
 * Identify and evaluate emerging AI, machine learning, and adjacent technologies.
 * Adapt existing research and develop new approaches to solve complex real-world technical challenges.
 * Translate research findings into prototypes, tools, and operational capabilities.
 * Develop evaluation methodologies to assess the effectiveness, reliability, and security of AI solutions.
 * Lead technical research efforts and help establish project priorities, milestones, and overall research direction.
 * Collaborate with machine learning engineers, software developers, researchers, technical leads, and other interdisciplinary teams.
 * Work directly with government customers and stakeholders to understand technical challenges and develop potential solutions.
 * Publish and present original research, technical findings, and other technical materials.
 * Contribute to research proposals and help develop and pitch new research concepts.
 * Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
 * Mentor junior researchers and technical team members.
