## About the Role

Overview:This role will suit someone with solid hands-on engineering experience who is comfortable working across cloud-based environments, modern data tooling, and open-source technologies.You'll work closely with analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders to help deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that support operational and analytical use cases.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelinesDevelop and optimise data workflows within AWS cloud environmentsWork with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple source systemsBuild and maintain data models to support reporting, analytics, and downstream applicationsEnsure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintainedSupport the migration and integration of data between platforms and servicesMonitor and troubleshoot pipeline and platform performance issuesCollaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams in Agile delivery environmentsContribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and automation practices
Skills & Experience Required:Commercial experience as a Data Engineer or similar engineering-focused data roleStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational databasesExperience developing data pipelines using Python or similar programming languagesHands-on experience working within AWS environments, ideally with services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, RDS, Athena, IAMExperience working with open-source data technologies and frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt, HadoopExperience working with APIs and data integration patternsUnderstanding of CI/CD, version control, and engineering best practicesExperience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams
