If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed. ## Description The Data Architect supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The role of a Data Architect is a senior-level position that bridges the gap between business requirements and technical execution. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing an organization's data architecture to ensure it supports strategic mission goals and vision. The Data Architect's primary mission is to create a supporting vision and blueprint for data management systems. This involves everything from the initial design to the long-term maintenance of the data environment. Architect will also be responsible for: * Developing an overall short term (next 2 years) and long term (5-7 year) organizational data strategy aligned with business or mission processes the strategic mission goals. The Data * Designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to guide data structure and flow. * Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate technical functionality and ensure data accessibility. * Implementing and auditing security measures to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with governance policies. * Planning and executing large-scale data solutions. * Managing the end-to-end data lifecycle, from platform selection to testing and implementation. To be effective, the Data Architect must possess a deep understanding of database technologies, programming, and advanced analytics.
