Basic Qualifications: This role can be filled at the Thermodynamics Engineer (T02) or Principal Thermodynamics Engineer (T03) level. Thermodynamics Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 1 year with Masters. * Professional knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods. * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 6 years. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment. * Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation. * Experience with finite element method or finite difference method thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, Ansys, etc). * Experience in the thermal analysis of aerospace systems. * Basic knowledge of Heat Transfer methods and principles. Principal Thermodynamics Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. * Professional knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods. * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 5 years. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment. * Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation. * Experience with finite element method or finite difference method thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, Ansys, etc). * Experience in the thermal analysis of aerospace systems. * Basic knowledge of Heat Transfer methods and principles.
