Join the Northern Illinois Hospice n as our next Development Manager and help ensure patients and families receive compassionate care when they need it most., * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. * Five (5) or more years of experience one of more of the following: in development/fundraising, or comparable work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, campaign management, project management, event planning, and relationship building. * Supervisory experience preferred. * Demonstrates superior communications skills and ability to understand and provide excellence in customer service. * Critical thinking ability and application. * Demonstrated ability to lead projects and gain results through others; directly or indirectly supervise and manage professional and administrative personnel, as needed. * Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. * Knowledge of corporate business management. * CFRE certification is desirable but not required. ## Description As a Development Manager, your day may include meeting with donors, collaborating on fundraising campaigns, writing grant proposals, planning community events, reviewing donor engagement metrics, and sharing the story of the Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation with supporters.
