## About the Role

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proficiency in modern 64-bit Mac/PC Operating Systems;

 * Proficiency with vintage Windows and Mac Operating Systems like Mac 7.6 to 9.2, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, Vista, 2000, NT, and XP;
 * Some experience in computer repair and configuration;
 * Ability to analyze technical issues and provide practical solutions;
 * Able to follow a workflow from a computer system; Strong background in technical support and customer service;
 * 2-Second Lean by Paul Akers is a considerable plus;
 * A+ Certification is a huge plus, * Operating System Installation: 2 years (Preferred)
 * Computer Hardware Troubleshooting: 2 years (Preferred)

 * CompTIA A+ (Preferred)

## Description

* Boot at least 40 vintage and modern computer systems to POST daily.
 * Troubleshoot failure-to-boot issues on various computer systems and remedy.
 * Ability to remove hard drives and peripherals and install replacements;
 * Work In Progress (WIP). Identify and document issues that cannot be immediately resolved and, place items into work-in-progress piles as appropriate, complete those tasks as resources become available;
 * Label and take proper pictures of hardware;
 * Perform equipment repairs following technical guidance of Tech Remove SOPs as required;
 * Use 5S and Kanban to communicate and move items around the warehouse for scrap, resale, or recycling, * Describe how you would you identify the current hardware installed on a Dell Dimension 2400 running Windows XP?
 * Describe how you would boot a Dell Latitude 7400 laptop to BIOS. How do you assess the battery condition?
 * Tech Remove is an indoor recycling business in an 80,000 square foot warehouse with limited HVAC infrastructure. Are you able to work in an warehouse production environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter?
 * Tech Remove is a production oriented recycling environment with a production quota. Testing associates are required to complete 40 machines daily. Could you adequately perform this task?
 * You are powering on an HP EliteDesk 800 G2, the screen is black (i.e. you don't see a splash screen) and you hear 3 long and 2 short beeps. What is likely going on with your machine?
