Using Microsoft Foundry, formerly Azure AI Foundry, and the broader Azure AI stack-grounded in governed Microsoft Fabric and One Lake data-this role builds, deploys, monitors, and continuously improves production AI features such as search, personalization, content generation, and internal copilots, reducing reliance on high-cost consulting. The role may initially be proven through consulting support and then internalized once the approach is established. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Production of AI Capability *Build and deploy production AI features; search, personalization, content generation, and internal copilots on Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry). *Implement LLM and RAG solutions grounded in governed One Lake data, using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect models to data and tools. *Develop and tune prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent workflows via the Foundry Agent Service and model catalog. MLOps Foundation *Establish deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and cost-management practices around AI projects - recognizing AI products require continual refinement, not set-and-forget delivery. *Implement CI/CD for AI artifacts, prompt/model versioning, and automated evaluation. *Partner with data engineering to keep Fabric/One Lake data AI-ready. Risk Management & Guardrails *Implement guardrails, prompt-injection defenses, output validation, and PII handling. *Ensure technical controls stay aligned with Richemont's requirements and policies. *Document responsible-AI practices and model evaluations. Collaboration & Mentorship *Work under AI Engineering Manager and partner with data science and data engineering on shared infrastructure. *Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the AI/ML specialization pathway. *Skills* Foundry, Azure OpenAI, LLM, RAG, Model Context Protocol (MCP), MLOps, Azure AI Services, microsoft fabric, python, CI/CD, OneLake *Top Skills Details* Foundry,Azure OpenAI,LLM,RAG,Model Context Protocol (MCP),MLOps ## Related Videos - [Introduction to Azure Machine Learning](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/368-introduction-to-azure-machine-learning) - [Agentic AI - From Theory to Practice: Developing Multi-Agent AI Systems on Azure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1532-agentic-ai-from-theory-to-practice-developing-multi-agent-ai-systems-on-azure) - [Developer Tools for Microsoft Azure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/450-developer-tools-for-microsoft-azure) - [Answering the Million Dollar Question: Why did I Break Production?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1171-answering-the-million-dollar-question-why-did-i-break-production) - [Inside the AI Revolution: How Microsoft is Empowering the World to Achieve More](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/869-inside-the-ai-revolution-how-microsoft-is-empowering-the-world-to-achieve-more) - [Develop enterprise-ready applications for Microsoft Teams with Azure resources on modern web technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/187-develop-enterprise-ready-applications-for-microsoft-teams-with-azure-resources-on-modern-web-technologies) ## Related Articles - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [MLOps And AI Driven Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/82-mlops-and-ai-driven-development) - [What Industries Outside of AI Are Hiring The Most AI Experts?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/98-what-industries-outside-of-ai-are-hiring-the-most-ai-experts) - [Got AI ideas but no money?
