The position requires an IAT Level II 8570-Compliant Certification, such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. The position requires a government Top Secret security clearance. This position requires a CCNA or JNCIA certificate. The position is based at an LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO, in the long term; however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties, including deployments. Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies. Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF. Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Must have firewall experience - especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs. Preferred Qualifications: Must have hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment. Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio. Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment. Must understand standard DOD security practices, such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation. Familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria (Desired). Experience with network automation using Ansible (Desired). Prior C2BMC experience (Desired) ## Description Position Responsibilities: In this role, the candidate will serve as a Network Development Engineer, supporting build-out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary. The candidate will work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements. The candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program. Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.
