This role ensures that departmental objectives are aligned with broader business goals through effective resource management, continuous process improvement, and strong people leadership. The Department Leader drives operational execution, maintains compliance, and partners cross-functionally to deliver consistent results., * Strategic & Department Planning - translates divisional strategy into departmental goals and execution plans, identifies operational opportunities and proses improvements to leaders, and supports change initiatives and process optimization efforts. * Operational Management - in a single-function operation or may support multiple sites but with one discipline - leads daily operations to meet quality, service, productivity, and safety targets. Monitors KPIs, address performance gaps, and drive continuous improvements, and ensures consistent application of policies, standard operating procedure, and compliance requirements. * Financial & Resource Management - Manages departmental budget, including labor, materials, and operating expenses. Forecasts resource needs and ensure staffing aligns with demand and recommends cost improvements and validate spending decisions. * People Leadership - Coach and develop staff; conduct performance reviews, feedback sessions and development planning. Ensures effective onboarding, training, and succession planning within the department. Fosters an inclusive, engaged, and high-performance culture. * Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Legal, and other corporate functions to support business objectives. Represents the department in divisional meetings and working groups, and participates in cross-functional initiatives and process improvements * Compliance, Risk & Governance - ensures adherence to regulatory, safety, environmental, and internal standards. Monitors operational risks and implements mitigation plans.
