Nice-to-Have * GCP data-integration / pipeline services (Dataflow, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, Data Fusion). * Familiarity with SnapLogic or similar iPaaS/ETL tooling (helpful for understanding what's being replaced). * Experience supporting manufacturing or other compliance-sensitive domains. * Exposure to EU and/or Japan data-protection requirements. ## Description A global enterprise is retiring a legacy data-integration tool (SnapLogic) and rebuilding that capability natively on Google Cloud Platform. We're looking for a hands-on DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help stand up new regional landing zones and build the reusable, standards-based infrastructure templates that internal teams will self-serve to onboard new workloads. The architecture pattern is already established - your focus is building and implementing it to standard, not inventing it. The first implementation supports a manufacturing business domain, and the pattern you help build becomes the standard for future onboarding. This is a build role for someone who is currently in the weeds, not an advisory or architecture-only seat. What You'll Do * Build and configure GCP landing zones across multiple regions (Germany, Japan, and the EU), with data-residency requirements as a first-class constraint. * Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) modules and templates that internal teams can spin up and self-serve in their own environments. * Implement the GCP-native infrastructure that replaces the retiring data-integration tooling. * Apply established architecture standards and patterns consistently across regions. * Configure GCP networking, IAM, and security guardrails to enable least-privilege, self-service provisioning. * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery. * Document templates and standards for downstream implementation teams. ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [From DevOps to Scaled DevOps: How We’re Rebuilding Continuous Delivery as a Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100018-from-devops-to-scaled-devops-how-we-re-rebuilding-continuous-delivery-as-a-platform) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Implementing Feature Environments with AWS and Terraform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/531-implementing-feature-environments-with-aws-and-terraform) - [Terraform for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/3-terraform-for-developers) ## Related Articles - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [Finding Jobs in Germany](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/375-finding-jobs-in-germany) - [A Guide to Green Tech and Green IT Careers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/374-a-guide-to-green-tech-and-green-it-careers)
