## Description

We are looking for a motivated COBOL Software Developer ready to take us to the next level! If you have experience in designing and creating engineering specifications for software applications and programs, along with expertise in modern programming languages, and are looking for your next career move, apply now., We are looking for a COBOL Software Developer to design and develop scalable software solutions while adhering to coding standards and participating in agile processes. This position will be f ull -time and remote .

What You'll Do

 + Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs

 + Write code that adheres to coding standards and perform code reviews

 + Generate ideas, explore, and implement technical solutions to achieve required product features

 + Monitor technical processes against project plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance

 + Participate in agile ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints

 + Communicate blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner

 + Drive story creation, including Definition of Done (DoD), Acceptance Criteria, and estimation

 + Create tasks for stories in applicable software (e.g., RTC, Jira) and update their status and assignment

 + Monitor work against production schedules and provide progress updates or report issues regularly

 + Mentor associate software engineers as needed

 + Perform other duties as assigned or requested
