Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards. * Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors. * Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred. * Candidate must have a Security + Certification and must be able to attain an ITIL 4 Certification within 4 months of Start Date. Desired Qualifications: * Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations * Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations ## Description This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site., * Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and optimize WAN solutions to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across multiple locations. * Configuration Management: Configure and manage WAN devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware. * Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor WAN performance, identify issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve network problems promptly. * Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data transmitted across the WAN. This includes setting up VPNs, encryption, and access controls. * Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic and optimize WAN performance to ensure high availability and minimal latency. * Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of the WAN infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
