Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Data Center Commissioning Lead - **Company:** AECOM - **Location:** White Hills, AZ, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Salary:** $130,000.0 - $200,000.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Data Centers, Uptime, Microsoft Office, Software Tools, 3-tier Architectures - **Published:** August 11, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=2242398c40a33862 ## About the Role * BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus eight years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education. * Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review. * Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required, * Experience with Tier 3 / Tier 4 data centers. * Four years of commissioning, design, or construction experience in mission-critical environments * Advanced understanding of data center infrastructure and supporting systems. * Detailed knowledge of ASHRAE Guideline and commissioning processes and documentation requirements. * Advanced understanding of construction drawings, specifications and submittals. * Familiarity with Uptime Institute standards and/or ASHRAE guidelines * Commissioning industry certification including: CxA, BCxP, or CCP. * Knowledge of redundancy topologies (N, N+1, 2N, 2(N+1)) * Experience troubleshooting controls integration and diagnosing issues related to system sequence of operations * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-risk environments * Excellent communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams * Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commissioning software tools ## Description The Commissioning Lead is responsible for the field execution of mission-critical commissioning activities throughout the US. The Commissioning Lead reports directly to AECOMs Senior Project Manager, and ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and controls systems are designed, installed, tested, and operate in accordance with the Owners Project Requirements (OPR) and related industry standards. Throughout the project, the Commissioning Lead collaborates closely with the AE, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver reliable, efficient, and resilient data center infrastructure.
