## Description

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support SQL Server database administration, development, performance, security, backup/recovery, and data integration activities. Key Responsibilities

 * Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases from legacy versions through SQL Server 2022.
 * Perform database backup, recovery, maintenance, replication, upgrades, and performance tuning.
 * Design and maintain logical and physical relational database models.
 * Develop, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
 * Manage SQL Server Always On, clustering, and high-availability configurations.
 * Manage and support Azure database virtual machines.
 * Develop and test database migration and disaster recovery procedures.
 * Troubleshoot database connectivity, performance, indexing, and operational issues.
 * Develop PowerShell scripts for database administration and automation.
 * Configure and support Power BI datasets, gateways, and refresh schedules.
 * Design and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
 * Implement database security, permissions, standards, and governance practices.
 * Implement version control and DevOps practices for database objects.
 * Review existing database architecture and recommend performance and design improvements.
 * Develop purge and archive procedures for historical application data.
 * Collaborate with application, BI, and IT teams to support data-driven solutions.
 * Provide technical guidance and cross-training to database administrators and developers.
 * Maintain database documentation, technical procedures, and operational standards.
