## About the Role

* Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experience; Masters - 3 years exp
 * Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited engineering or robotics or equivalent technical field;

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

 * Development and tracking of requirements
 * Strong understanding of integrating sensors, computer, and software
 * Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting

DESIRED SKILLS:

 * Experience in the areas of robotics, remote control, or autonomy
 * Experience with datalinks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and associated tools (CANape, Wireshark, etc.)
 * Experience with Azure DevOps
 * Experience with software development tools such as git, debuggers, and compilers
 * Experience with ROS
 * Experience with perception and positioning sensor configuration and calibration
 * Experience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes
 * Experience developing systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications

## Description

* Decompose high-level automation & autonomy features into system-level functional requirements, maintain clear traceability and documentation
 * Define the system architecture, interfaces, and integration strategy across the machine subsystems
 * Collaborate on the design approach and trade-offs
 * Develop features integrating across hardware, software, sensors, and control systems
 * Create and track FMEAs
 * Cross-functional coordination with machine systems, software, digital teams, validation, and product support
 * Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting
 * Track schedule, deliverables, and technical risk, * This position is for a systems engineer for the development and integration of advanced technology with heavy-duty equipment / machines. This includes the integration of sensors, components, and software for automation & autonomy products.
