Required before publishing.] Preferred Experience * You have built and shipped production software in a government or highly regulated environment, not only in a commercial setting with fewer constraints. * You have written code that had to pass a security review, and can describe what you changed because of it. * You are comfortable across the stack rather than deep in only the frontend or only the backend. * You have worked inside a CI/CD pipeline as a contributor, not just as someone whose code gets deployed by it. * You hold an active CBP BI, a fitness determination at another DHS component, or an active DoD clearance. Any of these shortens your start date. * You have integrated new software with a legacy system you could not replace, and can describe the tradeoffs you made. ## Related Videos - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [100 times more frequent deployments: How did we create a high performance team?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1069-100-times-more-frequent-deployments-how-did-we-create-a-high-performance-team) - [Fireside Chat with David Heinemeier Hansson](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/980-fireside-chat-with-david-heinemeier-hansson) - [Security Pitfalls for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/726-security-pitfalls-for-software-engineers) - [Continuous testing - run automated tests for every change!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/190-continuous-testing-run-automated-tests-for-every-change) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [9 Ways to Make Money Hacking](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/333-9-ways-to-make-money-hacking) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [7 Important Tips That Every Software Developer Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/101-7-important-tips-that-every-software-developer-should-know) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers)
