## About the Role

* 6+ years of full-stack development experience. Our frontend monolith is built with Ruby-on-Rails and React, we will be migrating pieces of it to Next.JS in the latter half of this year. You've built and shipped production systems across the stack using React and Next.js or Ruby on Rails.

## Description

* Experiment at the intersection of product and AI. Partner closely with Product, Design, and AI/ML teams to rapidly prototype and launch experiments that elevate engagement and comprehension on the document reading page.
 * Build new creative experiences from 0 1. Help develop innovative tools that empower users to synthesize research and produce study guides, presentations, and documents - all enhanced by generative AI.
 * Improve SEO and AEO. Work with our SEO PM to improve search and answer engine traffic to the Core Scribd pages.
 * Modernize our tech stack for the future. Lead efforts to decompose our Ruby-on-Rails monolith into a modern, modular Microfrontend architecture powered by Next.js and a distributed backend.

What you will do

 * Help migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend

 * Collaborate with our Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams to build new features and make improvements to our document ingestion infrastructure
 * Create new GraphQL APIs
 * Build new services in Node, Python, Go
 * Collaborate with Design and PM
 * Contribute to a shared design system
 * Make contributions to improving our frontend infrastructure
