Experience: * 8 years of experience working with VA FEE and TOP systems. * 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. * Demonstrated experience developing and supporting production code within VA financial, clinical, or community-care systems. * Experience supporting legacy payment systems or reimbursement platforms such as FEE, CCPC, or TOP. * Background working in regulated or compliance-driven environments with mission-critical or high-risk financial workflows. * Familiarity with modernization initiatives such as EHRM, particularly changes affecting billing, payment, and debt-collection processes., * Strong software development skills with the ability to maintain legacy codebases while supporting ongoing enhancements. * Proficiency in troubleshooting complex functional and technical issues in multicomponent production environments. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner closely with operations teams, payment offices, analysts, and leadership. * High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy in payment-related outputs and coding logic. * Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple systems while maintaining stability of critical payment operations. * Strong documentation skills for code changes, release notes, technical procedures, and operational workflows. * Proven reliability and ability to sustain continuity for systems where service interruption has major financial and Veteran-care impacts.
