We're moving from hand-written OpenAPI specs and ad-hoc MCP wrappers to a model where every fintech capability is defined once as a Capability Spec, with OpenAPI schemas, Skill manifests, and MCP tools auto-generated and enforced at PR time. This work already powers the QuickBooks Connector on Claude and ChatGPT, with 40+ Fintech tools live in production and early signal from engaged invoicing and Capital loan customers., * Architect the Capability Spec framework - the single editable source of truth from which OpenAPI schemas, Skill manifests, MCP tool definitions, and portal docs are auto-generated * Drive consolidation of fragmented, team-specific API surfaces into the Unified Fintech API, a composable, agent-ready contract * Build CI/CD enforcement - PR gates, validation rules, drift detection - that blocks hand-edits to generated artifacts and keeps specs, code, and docs in sync * Build tooling to auto-generate Functional and Integration Skills, MCP tools, and client SDKs directly from Capability Specs * Set technical direction across the Fintech API and Agent-Ready Enabler teams; mentor engineers and influence architecture and roadmap decisions without relying on direct authority ## Related Videos - [For the REST of us: API First and Conway’s Law](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1932-for-the-rest-of-us-api-first-and-conway-s-law) - [API Design - Getting Started](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/33-api-design-getting-started) - [ Evaluating AI models for code comprehension](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1462-evaluating-ai-models-for-code-comprehension) - [Building the Next Generation of Software](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100186-building-the-next-generation-of-software) - [Throwing off the burdens of scale in engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/608-throwing-off-the-burdens-of-scale-in-engineering) - [OpenAPI meets OpenAI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1150-openapi-meets-openai) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies in Europe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/162-highest-paying-tech-companies-in-europe)
