SMX is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to support our government client in Huntsville, AL., * Clearance Required: Secret

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
 + 4 additional years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
 * 1+ years of relevant software experience
 * Knowledge of, and experience employing, the software development life cycle
 * Software engineering experience encompassing:
 + software requirements analysis
 + software design
 + software coding
 + software integration and testing
 * Experience with Azure, AWS, and Gitlab pipelines
 * Ability to multi-task and work across a variety of software development projects
 * Experience using JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, APIs, HTML and CSS
 * Ability to work both independently and as a team
 * Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
 * Must reside within a 70-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL

## Description

* Work closely with team members and customers to build and modify software
 * Develop code, test, debug and fix issues, and improve software performance
 * Connect data from differing sources such as SQL or Dataverse
 * Set up, configure, and manage GitLab pipelines to automate build, deployment, and continuous integration processes
 * Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces
 * Integrate APIs and web services into applications as needed
 * Ensure compliance with MDA Software Assurance policies and agile methodologies
 * Modernize current legacy applications and migrate them to the hybrid cloud service provider environment
 * Participate in sprint reviews and system demos as required
 * Maintain technical documentation to include release notes for new software versions and training materials
 * Provide the customer with recommendations for application enhancements, to include new capabilities and performance
