This role is centered on migrating legacy AutoSys workloads to a secure, scalable, and reusable MWAA-based orchestration platform that can serve multiple internal customers and teams., * Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience * Strong experience building backend services and RESTful APIs with Python and FastAPI, documented with OpenAPI/Swagger * Hands-on experience migrating enterprise workloads from AutoSys or similar schedulers to AWS MWAA * Strong experience designing and supporting multi-account, multi-tenant AWS platforms * Proficiency with AWS services such as MWAA, ECS Fargate, EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, and IAM * Practical experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation * Experience designing AWS account structures, access models, and platform guardrails for enterprise use * Hands-on skills in Python; exposure to SQL or Java is a plus * Proficiency with Git/GitHub, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and deployment automation * Clear, concise communicator who can influence decisions with data, presentations, and visualizations * Effective collaborator in a hybrid environment; able to work independently with strong leadership and follow-through ## Description The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AWS platform engineering, multi-account architecture, IAM, DynamoDB, Networking, ECS Fargate, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation. You will help define the target architecture, onboarding model, governance controls, and operational framework for a scheduler platform that is easy to adopt, secure to operate, and scalable across teams. As a hands-on technical lead, you will collaborate closely with architects, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the solution is resilient, standardized, and built for enterprise-wide reuse., * Design, build, and support an enterprise scheduler platform on AWS MWAA to replace legacy AutoSys jobs and workflows * Lead migration planning, dependency analysis, workflow redesign, and implementation for AutoSys-to-MWAA modernization * Build reusable scheduling patterns and platform capabilities that support multiple teams and workloads in a multi-tenant environment * Define platform standards, operating procedures, and governance controls for secure and scalable scheduler adoption Platform Engineering and Enablement: * Design and implement the target multi-account AWS architecture for the scheduler platform * Create onboarding mechanisms, reusable templates, and platform services that enable internal customers to adopt MWAA efficiently * Partner with platform consumers to support onboarding, access patterns, integration requirements, and usage best practices * Help establish guardrails and self-service capabilities that improve the customer experience while maintaining compliance Backend/API Development: * Build and maintain RESTful APIs with Python, containerized and deployed on AWS ECS Fargate/EKS * Design clean contracts and versioned APIs; document with OpenAPI/Swagger * Support integration between scheduler services, platform components, and enterprise applications AWS & Infrastructure: * Configure API Gateway for secure routing, throttling, authentication, and authorization * Use Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for MWAA, ECS Fargate, EKS, API Gateway, IAM, networking, and multi-account platform resources * Work across AWS services including S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, and Bedrock as applicable * Apply enterprise security, account separation, and deployment patterns for multi-account AWS architecture CI/CD, Quality, and Testing: * Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodePipeline for automated build, test, and deploy * Use GitHub or GitLab and artifact repositories such as Artifactory. * Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with pytest; automate regression testing with QA * Perform load and stress testing; analyze performance and reliability metrics Observability & Operations: * Implement centralized logging and metrics using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch where needed * Set up alerting based on SLIs and SLOs for workflow health and platform reliability * Troubleshoot incidents using logs, traces, and metrics; proactively address bottlenecks and failed workflows Security & Governance: * Implement IAM, SSO, OAuth2, and JWT; follow AWS security best practices and enterprise governance standards * Apply secure access controls, secrets management, and dependency scanning * Partner with architecture and governance teams to ensure platform controls align with enterprise policies Leadership & Delivery: * Own technical direction and architecture for Python-based services, AWS platform capabilities, and MWAA-based scheduler modernization * Break down roadmaps into milestones; drive estimations, delivery predictability, and risk management * Lead design reviews, establish engineering standards, and approve critical architectural decisions * Mentor engineers; provide feedback and growth plans; foster high-quality code, documentation, and operational excellence, * Experience with enterprise scheduler migrations from AutoSys to MWAA or similar orchestration platforms * Experience supporting enterprise platform onboarding and self-service enablement What we'll bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
