Minimum of two (2) years of experience in job development, recruitment, staffing, or employer relations, preferably within a workforce development or youth-serving program. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered., Prior experience with WIOA Youth, YouthBuild, or other DOL-funded employment programs. Existing network of employer contacts in construction, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regional in-demand industries. Familiarity with apprenticeship and industry-recognized credentialing systems. Bilingual or multilingual ability relevant to the population served. Special Certifications and Licenses: Valid Driver's License Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with employer partners. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple employer relationships and participant caseloads simultaneously. * Proficiency with data tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite. * Proficiency with data management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily assignments and work activities. * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, and to listen effectively. * Ability to manage heavy workload by planning, organizing and setting priorities in order to meet strict deadlines. * Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines. * Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers. Personally demonstrates appropriate customer service skills. * Work is performed onsite. The incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job. ## Description The purpose of this class within the organization is to build and maintain employer relationships and secure work-based learning, internship, and unsubsidized employment opportunities for YouthBuild participants and graduates. The Job Developer connects participants with industry-recognized credential opportunities, prepares participants for the job search process, and tracks employment and earnings outcomes in support of the program's DOL/ETA performance measures.
