## Description

We're looking for a Backend Engineer with 2-6 years of experience to design and build the AI agent infrastructure that powers Peri's consumer product - capturing deep context about people and enabling agent-to-agent conversations at scale. You'll be a thought partner and executor on one of the hardest problems in applied AI: how do you represent a real person as an agent, build up their memory, and facilitate meaningful conversations between agents?

What You'll Be Doing

 * Design and build the memory layer for personal AI agents - capturing, retrieving, and persisting context about a person's work, interests, and experiences
 * Architect agent-to-agent conversation infrastructure so a company's agent can meaningfully evaluate and converse with a candidate's agent
 * Own the agent runtime: durable, resumable agent loops that handle tools, human input, and failure recovery
 * Build the privacy and permissions layer - enforcing what an agent knows vs. what it may share, in code, not prompts
 * Work directly with the CTO as a thought partner on what the right infrastructure looks like to do this at scale
