Founded in 2022 by Former Secretary of Health of Louisiana and practicing OB-GYN, Dr. Rebekah Gee, and Rebecca Kavoussi, Nest is the first-of-its-kind family-based, in-home, and virtual care model; this includes primary adult and pediatric care, mental health and nutrition support, vaccinations and labs, same-and-next-day acute visits, chronic condition and transitions of care management, social services and navigation, and more. Nest's innovative model has resulted in partnerships, unlocking care for thousands of families across our markets. Nest's early success has led to national traction across states and payers, laying the groundwork for future expansion to families across the United States. What does it mean to be a part of a startup? Working at a healthcare startup can be a unique experience with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment that can involve varied workloads, quick changes, and high expectations. Taking a position at a Healthcare startup allows for the opportunity to be high impact in disrupting the US healthcare system. You will have the chance to be creative, solution oriented, and have your voice heard! You will need to be flexible, accountable, and self-sufficient, and you might take on multiple roles. Here are some things you can expect: * Role Breadth- Your role may be less defined than in other settings, with the need to wear multiple hats & juggle various responsibilities * Learning opportunities- you will have the opportunity, at times, to function outside of your standard position and learn about new roles & areas * Fast Paced- Startups often must move faster than traditional large companies. This means you may be asked to cope with or advise on quick changes regarding systems or processes * Autonomy- You will need to be highly autonomous, as there is less structure and learning and development than at large orgs. This requires you to be able to learn asynchronously, as well as raise your hand when help is needed, or gaps are identified * Collaboration- With so many opportunities to build processes and improve how we deliver care to our patients, we rely heavily on one-another to communicate changes effectively to ensure seamless support across functions. This often requires this individual to give and receive feedback frequently and communicate challenges or opportunities effectively. What you'll own ***THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE*** Must reside in New Orleans, Louisiana You'll own the end-user experience for Nest's Louisiana footprint. You're the primary on-site presence for the New Orleans office and the LA sites: hardware, connectivity, setup, and the in-person help that can't be done over a wire. At the same time, you provide remote multi-tier support to employees' company wide. You'll own the multi-vendor end-user stack and make it feel like one thing to the user. That means the identity lifecycle end to end (joiner-mover-leaver) across Microsoft 365 and Entra ID; endpoint management, patching, and device health across the fleet through Intune and RMM; and asset inventory and lifecycle company-wide, with hands-on staging and repair for the LA sites. The user should experience one governed platform, even though a dozen tools sit behind it. You'll own the automation that lets the stack scale with LA's growth instead of with ticket volume. When you hit the same request for the tenth time, you script it, deflect it, or turn it into self-service, whether that's PowerShell, Power Automate, or an AI-assisted workflow. We're moving off manual ticket triage toward context-aware routing and a Notion knowledge base that answers before IT is the first call, and this is where you'll do that work. You'll own security and compliance at the endpoint: phishing-resistant, password-less authentication (passkeys and FIDO), Conditional Access, least privilege, and device compliance. You'll partner with Security & Compliance on the SOC 2 program, including audits, evidence, and remediation. You'll also act as Knowledge Steward for the Louisiana IT domain, keeping documentation current and trustworthy for both people and AI retrieval. What you'll work on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows/macOS/iOS, modern RMM (NinjaOne), a Notion knowledge base, Slack-based intake, and governed AI running within Nest's "traffic light" AI policy. The stack is mid-modernization: some of it you'll run, some you'll help retire, some you'll help stand up. You'll partner with other members of the team on frontline support and with Security & Compliance on SOC 2. Nest also runs on Salesforce today and is building toward an owned application platform, so curiosity about that transition and interest in helping with it are a real plus., * Deep end-user IT operations experience. 5 to 7 years in internal, customer-facing IT, with real system administration depth: 2+ years each on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, Intune (compliance, config profiles, app deployment), and Windows/macOS/iOS support. Healthcare experience strongly preferred. * An automation reflex. You don't just close tickets. You notice the tenth identical ticket and script it away. PowerShell, Power Automate, or similar, used for real to scale a growing environment. AI-assisted automation is a baseline expectation; we want someone who thinks about how it changes what support can do, not just how it speeds up today's tasks. * Comfort on the ground and over the wire. You can resolve a device issue in person and run a distributed support model remotely. You're organized about assets, staging, and lifecycle across physical sites. * Security fluency at the endpoint. Conditional Access, MFA, least privilege, device compliance, and password-less. You know what healthcare-appropriate looks like and can hold the line without making users miserable. * Solid fundamentals: endpoint management, networking, and IT operations best practices, plus experience supporting hybrid and distributed teams. What this is not * A pure break/fix helpdesk seat that stays the same size as the company grows. You'll close tickets on day one, but the mandate is to work yourself out of the repetitive volume through automation, deflection, and self-service, so the human time goes to the work that needs a human on-site. * A role that stops at the Louisiana line. It's the on-the-ground anchor for LA, but you support the whole distributed company and help set standards that carry across markets. ## Related Videos - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Passkeys: Truly Phishing-Resistant?
