The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawing development for various aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will be able to exhibit expertise of Solidworks 3D CAD software, have a clear understanding of ASME Y14 and MIL-STD-31000A specifications, possess strong communications skills, and a strong self-motivated work ethic., * Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or related field of study. * 0-3 years of progressive engineering design experience. * Working knowledge and experience in SolidWorks CAD software. * Strong understanding of engineering principles, product development processes, and design-for-manufacturing concepts. * Experience performing engineering analyses, testing, and validation activities. * Ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation. * Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. * Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams. * Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance (Secret level minimum) or be able to obtain one., * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T principles. * Familiarity with PDM vault configuration management software * Interest in aviation airframe modifications is recommended. * Additional Desired Software/Certification Experience: + Solidworks Professional Certification + Additional Proficiency in other CAD platforms (Autodesk, PTC Creo, etc.) + Experience with Product Data Management software (Solidworks PDM, PTC Windchill, etc.) * Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Key Competencies * Technical Aptitude * Attention to Detail * Problem Solving * Teamwork and Collaboration * Adaptability and Learning Agility * Time Management * Communication Skills * Initiative and Accountability ## Description The Junior Design Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and documentation of engineering products, systems, and components. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, this role contributes to design projects by creating models and drawings, performing analyses, supporting testing activities, and assisting with the implementation of engineering solutions.
