## Description

The Optometric Technician plays a key role in supporting the optometrist by performing preliminary testing, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring smooth clinic flow. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume setting and enjoys working directly with patients., * Greet and escort patients to exam rooms in a friendly and professional manner

 * Perform pre-testing procedures including:
 + Visual acuity
 + Auto-refraction
 + Tonometry (IOP)
 + Retinal imaging (OCT, fundus photography)
 + Visual field testing
 * Accurately document patient history and chief complaints
 * Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization
 * Assist the optometrist during exams as needed
 * Educate patients on procedures and basic eye care instructions
 * Manage patient flow to ensure efficiency and minimal wait times
 * Support front desk or optical team when needed
