However, candidates should demonstrate: * General curiosity and interest in incorporating AI into software development * Some hands-on exposure to AI-assisted development tools * Understanding of how AI can assist with coding, debugging, documentation, testing, or development workflows * Ability and willingness to learn and adopt new AI-enabled development practices Exposure to tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI tools, or similar AI coding/development tools is beneficial. Additional Technical Experience Experience with the following is beneficial: * Python for scripting, automation, testing, or development workflows * GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Claude, or similar development tools * Spec-driven development, including translating requirements into structured technical specifications and using those specifications to guide development Nice-to-Have Experience * Payments or payment-processing systems * Point-of-Sale (POS) systems * Payment certification experience * Development within compliance-heavy or highly regulated environments * Python * AI-assisted software engineering workflows * OpenAI development tools ## Description Client seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong, recent hands-on Modern C++ development experience in a Windows environment. This is a highly technical, hands-on development position. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong fundamentals in C++ and answer technical questions involving Modern C++ development in Windows during the interview process. Recent Windows-based C++ development is critical. Linux-only C++ experience will not meet the requirement. The team is also incorporating AI-assisted development into its engineering workflows.
