## About the Role

* 6+ years of experience owning core infrastructure
 * Demonstrated ability to write production application code (approximate split of 60% backend / 40% infrastructure)
 * Background at an AI-native startup
 * Experience building and scaling per-customer isolated environments
 * Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK)
 * Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
 * Deep cloud platform experience; Azure strongly preferred
 * Clear written and verbal English communication skills

## Description

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own the application code that controls Motion's always-on, per-customer cloud environments. This is a novel infrastructure problem with no existing playbook - you'll be defining the patterns and standards as we scale from roughly 500 to 2,000-3,000 customer environments. You'll work alongside two of our strongest engineers on a small, high-ownership team with weekly shipping cycles, and your work will run in production for thousands of marketers daily., * Write infrastructure application code covering VM lifecycle management, container updates, queues, observability, and security

 * Scale customer-facing cloud environments from ~500 to 2,000-3,000 always-on, isolated, per-customer instances
 * Design reliable abstractions for messaging queues, locks, background tasks, and service bus mechanics
 * Evolve our Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and define the Pulumi standards other engineers will follow
 * Work deep in the systems layer: Linux, containers, networking, persistent storage, and runtime debugging
