**Published:** August 31, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.clearancejobs.com/jobs/9130019/jr-linux-engineer ## About the Role The ideal candidate will have a strong Linux background, hands-on AWS experience, and the ability to work across development, operations, and customer-facing technical teams., * Must posses an active Top Secret Clearance * Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph * Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience * Strong Linux systems administration and infrastructure management experience * Two (2) or more years of AWS experience, including services such as EC2 and S3 * Experience troubleshooting network issues across OSI Layers 4-7 * Familiarity with systems engineering documentation, including network diagrams and data flows * Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills * Current Security+ certification prior to start, * Experience with identity federation, Single Sign-On (SSO), SAML, OIDC, OAuth, Kerberos, and CAC/smart card authentication * Experience with Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Unified Directory, Oracle WebLogic, or similar enterprise products * Experience with Kubernetes * Bash and Python scripting experience * Experience with LDAP * Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) * Experience with AWS and cloud-based architectures * Familiarity with cross-domain architectures * Experience with automated testing and monitoring * Experience supporting Engineering Review Boards and Change Management processes ## Description * Provide technical support for Tier II personnel and resolve customer-facing system and access issues * Perform root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshoot operational issues, and implement mitigation strategies * Monitor system health, user metrics, performance, and operational availability * Develop scripts and playbook-based automation to support recurring operational tasks * Manage and maintain COTS and GOTS software across multiple environments * Partner with enterprise services teams to maintain security and application compliance * Troubleshoot network and identity/access issues across complex environments * Analyze system workflows and identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement * Document technical findings and communicate issues and resolutions to development and operational teams ## Related Videos -
