Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar). * Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and web services. * Ability to use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for everyday engineering work. * Experience developing or supporting APIs, web services, microservices, or integration services. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Familiarity with event-driven architecture, Kafka, or message queues. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices. * Familiarity with secure integration practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT, encryption). * Exposure to observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, Grafana) and monitoring. * Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, API testing). * Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services industry. * Experience using Generative AI or agentic AI for code development, testing, or documentation. * Deep understanding of platform engineering and infrastructure services * Experience with webhook delivery systems and event distribution * Expertise in security engineering, authentication, and authorization * Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect implementation * Experience with billing systems and usage metering. ## Description The Software Engineer is responsible for analysis, design, programming, debugging, testing, and modification of software applications, APIs, and services for Visa's Acceptance Solutions platform, focusing on transaction processing platforms. This role focuses on webhook transport, billing, security, sso, api gateway, and infrastructure services. The engineer writes code, builds integrations, performs testing, and completes documentation while using modern tools including Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities.
