Adobe Acrobat Pro; * Must successfully pass the basic and advanced NCIC tests within six (6) months of hire; * Must successfully complete a six (6) month Introductory Period of Employment (from date of hire); At least one (1) year prior experience in an office environment; * Familiarity with the dynamics of the criminal justice system and law enforcement in particular; Familiarity with the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS), the Uniform Crime Reporting System (UCR), the National Crime Victimization Survey, and the Idaho Crime Victimization Survey. * Must be of good moral character, and successfully undergo a full fingerprint background check investigation, and pass a Polygraph before being hired., If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us! ## Description Supports processing of police crime reports by performing a variety of tasks for the department with a focus on National Incident Based Reporting (NIBRS) federal regulations to classify crimes to code and enter data into the records management system, processing court adjudications, processing Sex Offender Compliance Checks, expungement of juvenile records, and providing administrative research and support utilizing NCIC/ILETS, RMS, and related software systems. This is an entry level position that processes police crime reports according to the NIBRS federal regulations, policies, and procedures. Read and interpret crime reports which include city, state and federal statutes as well as the FBI guidelines to classify the events. Duties include reviewing crime information to determine which policies or statutes are relevant or apply and identify who has jurisdiction, then entering data for FBI NIBRS reporting purposes. Process court adjudications by gathering and providing information that is necessary to determine and process the case status. Process Sex Offender Compliance Checks by working closely with Ada County Sheriff's Office and patrol officers to ensure sex offender's information remains up to date. Expungement of juvenile records (redacting sensitive information). Coordinate with various divisions, outside agencies, and the City of Boise and Ada County Prosecutors Offices to make final determination. Complete and update cases through this research and report to NIBRS. Provides administrative research and technical support to internal police staff by determining information needed utilizing NCIC/ILETS, RMS, ITS, CAD, and related software systems to conduct research on people, places, vehicles, etc. Assistance is available from an Analytical Services Lead .
