 * 3+ years of experience in Deep VMware ESXi/vSphere.
 * 4+ years of experience in iSCSI networking and LVM expertise.
 * Good skills in Bash and Python.
 * Good understanding of networking, CI/CD, and container platforms like OpenShift/Kubernetes.
 * Nice to have
 * Experience with migration tools such as Zerto, Veeam, or vCenter Converter.
 * Exposure to public cloud, databases, security tooling, and configuration management platforms like Ansible or Puppet.

## Description

* Linux Systems Engineer - Server Migration supports a large-scale data center migration program, relocating physical and virtual servers between facilities with minimal downtime and strong service continuity.
 * Core focus
 * Plan and execute end-to-end server migrations.
 * Migrate VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines using vMotion, Storage vMotion, and cold migration methods.
 * Manage iSCSI storage connectivity, LVM-based storage provisioning, and filesystem validation.
 * Build automation and runbooks to make migration workflows repeatable and reliable.
 * Troubleshoot performance, application, and infrastructure issues before, during, and after cutover.
 * Key responsibilities
 * Own and engineer the Linux compute platform across migration phases.
 * Coordinate migration waves, rollback plans, and validation checklists.
 * Maintain security, stability, and compliance across Linux infrastructure.
 * Work with support teams and internal engineering groups to resolve complex issues.
 * Contribute to modernization efforts involving Kubernetes, OpenShift, and related platform technologies.
