As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward., * Focus on improving Search AI quality in Verticals, specifically Live Events Factuality and Freshness for topics like live sports, stock quotes, weather, and travel. * Work closely with teams across Search Verticals, Search Intelligence, and DeepMind to address critical quality gaps on high-visibility queries in Search and AI Mode. * Engage in horizontal factuality quality programs across Search and GDM, and proactively identify new factuality quality gaps within Vertical slices. * Build or enhance automated evals to speed up error detection and establish self-improvement loops. * Design and run experiments to enhance quality and minimize errors in AI-generated responses, while actively representing Search Verticals and Infrastructure (SVI) in cross-Search forums.
