This is a hands-on infrastructure role. You will design and manage CI/CD pipelines, provision infrastructure as code, run our containerized workloads, and keep everything secure, observable, and reliable, partnering closely with engineering and product delivery to build standardized, repeatable deployment patterns so brands can move fast within clear guardrails. AI is central to how we build at IHS. You will use AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI as a primary workflow for writing infrastructure code, automation, and tooling, shipping frequently and iterating quickly. While AI accelerates delivery, you remain fully accountable for architecture, security, and reliability. You will be part of a very collaborative, very agile team working collectively to fulfill our mission of saving our communities from unscrupulous contractors. We promise an open and transparent environment where you'll be surrounded by highly intelligent people all working together towards a common goal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Build, own, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment for our custom applications, including reliable release gates and rollback strategies. * Provision and manage Azure infrastructure as code (Bicep and/or Terraform) so our footprint stays version-controlled, reviewable, and reproducible across environments and brands. * Stand up and operate the compute running our applications (Container Apps, App Service, or AKS), including containerization, scaling policies, and dev/staging/training/prod environment parity. * Own secrets, identity, and access management using Azure Key Vault, Entra ID, managed identities, and RBAC, including how integration and API credentials are stored and rotated. * Design and maintain a secure network posture across VNets, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls, and API gateway/front door. * Build observability and reliability into everything through Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, with alerting, incident response, and clear SLAs. * Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery for application state and PostgreSQL, and support orchestration and monitoring of data pipelines. * Drive cost governance (FinOps) through tagging, budgets, and right-sizing so infrastructure spend stays visible and controlled across 25+ brands. * Create change control governance, deployment standards, and golden paths that enable scalable, self-service releases. * Partner closely with engineering, product delivery, and brand teams to prioritize requests, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve delivery. ## Related Videos - [Back(end) to the Future: Embracing the continuous Evolution of Infrastructure and Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/440-back-end-to-the-future-embracing-the-continuous-evolution-of-infrastructure-and-code) - [Bringing digital education to refugee and host communities in remote regions of Africa](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/644-bringing-digital-education-to-refugee-and-host-communities-in-remote-regions-of-africa) - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [My journey into DevOps world - How it all started!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/545-my-journey-into-devops-world-how-it-all-started) - [Docker build without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100114-docker-build-without-docker) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 159: AI Pipelines, 10x Faster TypeScript, How to Interview](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/563-dev-digest-159-ai-pipelines-10x-faster-typescript-how-to-interview)
