This position is responsible for the implementation, integration, technical validation, and ongoing operation of networked security systems. The role requires hands-on capability across enterprise networking, Windows Server, SQL databases, cybersecurity, system programming, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting. The Security Systems Engineer will serve as the technical point of contact for assigned projects and will be responsible for secure, reliable system performance through final acceptance and ongoing support. Responsibilities include ownership of technical issues through resolution, coordination of project activities, maintenance of technical documentation, and compliance with customer and cybersecurity requirements. Honeywell Vindicator experience is not required but will be considered. Product-specific training will be provided. Responsibilities * Configure, secure, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure, including switching, routing, VLANs, trunks, access control lists, and connected system components * Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments * Install and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including connectivity, permissions, backup, and recovery * Implement applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, NIST-based cybersecurity controls, system-hardening requirements, secure configurations, and vulnerability-remediation measures * Program, configure, test, and commission Honeywell Vindicator systems * Integrate access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, servers, databases, networks, control panels, and field devices * Review drawings, specifications, network diagrams, cable schedules, and system documentation * Develop and maintain system drawing packages, including plans, riser diagrams, network diagrams, details, schedules, and as-built documentation * Support system design, equipment selection, and technical planning * Analyze and resolve complex issues spanning network infrastructure, servers, databases, application software, control panels, cabling, and field devices * Conduct testing, validation, customer training, acceptance activities, and technical closeout * Execute assigned work in accordance with technical requirements, approved designs, cybersecurity standards, project schedules, and customer acceptance criteria * Own technical issues through resolution, including coordination, corrective action, testing, documentation, and customer communication * Coordinate technical activities with customers, government representatives, contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, and internal personnel * Develop and maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, testing results, corrective-action records, and closeout deliverables * Provide remote and onsite service and troubleshooting support * Lead or support field installation work when required, This position requires frequent travel to customer and project locations throughout the continental United States, with occasional OCONUS assignments. Travel schedules vary based on project requirements and commonly include multiweek assignments. Extended assignments may be required.
