* Extensive knowledge of methods of network design and equipment configuration requirements, network operating systems, hardware, and software.
 * Skill in operating the listed tools and equipment.
 * Ability to interpret technical instructions; maintain efficient and effective automated systems.
 * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
 * Ability to grasp new concepts and terminology quickly; interpret problems and use good judgment to determine effective solutions.
 * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, county officials, and others; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to work in stressful situations., Formal Education and Experience:

Associate's degree

5-8 years' experience in Network Systems

Or any combination of education and experience

## Description

Understand and diagnose computer malfunctions, bugs, and security threats in county networks. Install and maintain hardware and software in a timely and efficient manner. Interact with all departments to perform systems analysis in support of the County in a professional manner and maintain and enter detailed information of work performed., * Scheduled to be on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotating basis, to provide after-hours support to departments that work beyond normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.

 * Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications are desired but not required.
 * Must be able to work extended hours and weekends to complete projects when required.
 * Must have a valid SC Driver's license or ability to obtain one.
 * Required to always carry a cell phone when scheduled as On-Call after-hours support.
