## About the Role

* Proven experience in desktop support or IT support roles with a strong understanding of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general software troubleshooting techniques.
 * Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and basic system administration tasks like Active Directory management.
 * Ability to diagnose hardware issues related to computer hardware components and perform hardware maintenance effectively.
 * Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset; capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
 * Familiarity with Windows Server administration and help desk ticketing systems is preferred.
 * Technical proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity issues, operating system errors, and peripheral device problems.

## Description

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our IT support team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues related to desktops, hardware, and software, providing prompt and effective support to ensure seamless daily operations. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will help maintain the stability and security of our IT infrastructure across various platforms., * Provide technical support for desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals to end-users in a timely manner.

 * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, macOS, Linux operating systems, and computer networking including LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
 * Perform hardware maintenance and upgrades on desktops, laptops, and other devices to ensure optimal performance.
 * Assist with system administration tasks such as Active Directory management, user account setup, password resets, and permissions management.
 * Support help desk operations by documenting issues, escalating complex problems when necessary, and ensuring excellent customer service.
 * Conduct software troubleshooting for applications including Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools.
 * Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, repairs, and system configurations while adhering to IT security policies.
