## About the Role

* Associate degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, information systems, business, communications, or a related field, or an additional two or more years of relevant experience in place of the degree requirement.
 * At least 8 years of relevant experience aligned to the responsibilities of this position.
 * Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise security technologies.
 * Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, authentication, and security concepts.
 * Experience troubleshooting complex technical integrations.
 * CompTIA Security+ certification.
 * Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
 * Ability to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation, Public Trust determination, or security clearance associated with the position., * Experience supporting SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, or related security platforms.
 * Experience with scripting and automation.
 * Experience supporting federal enterprise environments.

## Description

QBE, LLC is seeking a Cyber Engineer - Security Tool Engineering/O&M to engineer, operate, maintain, and optimize cybersecurity technologies supporting NIH/OD-OIT., * Install, configure, integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise cybersecurity tools.

 * Perform routine operations and maintenance of security platforms.
 * Support upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and lifecycle management.
 * Integrate security technologies with enterprise systems and data sources.
 * Monitor tool health, performance, capacity, and availability.
 * Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate vendor support as necessary.
 * Develop scripts, integrations, and automation to improve security operations.
 * Maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operating procedures.
 * Support security tool testing and implementation of new capabilities.
 * Coordinate with SOC, vulnerability management, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
